This Week In Conclusion (TWIC) October 4th, 2018

Career Fair: Talking with Gartner primarily, spoke with GE shortly, the Staples recruiter knew me just by looking at my linkedIn which I thought was awesome. The GE recruiter said that she had spoken with a lot of students so she may not remember me and I told her to remember me by my 1% lapel pin. I think it’s a very notable mark.

I am looking to get an Internship for the remainder of the semester and even going into senior year. I am planning to work with a brand new Venture Capital fund started with Launch Greensboro and I’m going in to interview tomorrow. I have to prove I can do the due diligence analysis for the companies under their screening process.

Got on a call with my good friend Carlos who I met while at my summer internship in Houston and we discussed working on a business plan that we started back in July.

Today I was also at a meeting for HPU in the city where we will be going to visit with five very big companies. I am super excited for this and I am even more excited to learn all I can about what it’s like to work at Bloomberg in NYC. This note has prompted to set up a meeting with the career and professional development department because I want to get on their good side so they are more likely to introduce me to employers during the networking event. I also would like them to review and optimize my resume.

I also reinvested more money into several of the stocks on my watchlist. However, I’ve skeptical because the whole stock market appears to be operating on tilt. It’s been a bull market for too long. At least that’s how it appears.
